The Biden Administration’s Politicizing Of The Department Of Justice Goes Deeper Than First ThoughtNovember 21, 2022The Biden administration’s hubris is unparalleled; its actions to use Executive powers to mold agencies into its own enforcement agency, against its critics, could be a prelude to a police state. In previous writings, I have discussed matters concerning the Biden administrations weaponizing of the Department of Justice (DOJ), in particular the FBI. Believing that most of the issues had been covered, I was soon to learn that there is more to these activities than meets the eye. Does “Operation Bronze Griffin” (OBG) sound familiar? Probably not. Recently Republicans on the Judiciary Committee in the House of Representatives issued a report of about 1,000 pages. Part of it detailed the FBI’s association with Facebook, and how a secret portal was developed allowing the agency to request (I believe “mandate” would be more appropriate) the platform delete anything posted that was considered misinformation according to the dictates of the Biden administration. Based on the report, and the statements from whistleblowers, the FBI would receive private user information from Facebook, but it would be without the user’s knowledge or consent, thus bypassing the normal legal process for obtaining such information. This clandestine action aside from being unscrupulous is nothing less than spying on the American people, specifically Republicans and conservatives in particular. The report reads “According to whistleblower information, the types of user content that Facebook provides have a partisan focus, tending to only concern users from one side of the political spectrum. The FBI’s willingness to accept this political speech information from Facebook - outside of routine investigative pathways - further threatens Americans' constitutional rights.” The accusations in the report continue, and they reveal the agency (FBI) is “artificially padding domestic violent extremism statistics by pressuring agents to reclassify investigations,” which allows for the raids we’ve witnessed over the last several years, involving former Trump officials and supporters, the raid on Mar-a-Lago, imprisonment without due process of January 6 rioters, and parents of students who protest public school curriculum. The report is a harsh and damning document, and goes on to accuse the FBI of being “rotted to the core.” The genesis of the report was how Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in a podcast interview this past August, explained how he received a communication from the FBI to be on high alert for the possibility of Russian interference in the 2020 presidential election. In this collaborative effort, the FBI hinted, but gave no specifics, when in fact it was all about the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. Like most of the media, Facebook, based on FBI interference, decided to reject the story on its platform. The report also mentions the involvement of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in these nefarious activities, how its secretary Alejandro Mayorkas fabricates and twists the truth about the southern border, and how critics of the administration and this agency are subjected to the same abuse and rebuke by HS that is setting its sights on political speech that is unfavorable to the administration. The report goes on to say that federal officials in the White House, FBI, and Homeland Security are engaged in behind the scene, closed-door meetings with officials from Facebook and YouTube, to establish an understanding moving forward that would decide what would be excluded, and what would be low-keyed on their platforms. An FBI spokesperson is quoted as saying “Put quite simply, we follow the facts without regard to politics.” That is a bald-faced lie. Should the Republicans take the majority in the House of Representatives, Congressman Jim Jordon will head the Judiciary Committee; he has spoken out and believes “The FBI has the power to ruin a [innocent] person’s life.” These unprecedented activities by the Biden administration and its Department of Justice are a direct threat to freedom of speech, and a clear and present danger of an out-of-control arm of law enforcement, whose power as of this writing goes unchecked.
