Last week during our 44th Eagle Council meeting, Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life addressed some of the nearly 1,100 people in attendance over that weekend.

In addition to giving an update on her fight against Planned Parenthood, Kristan challenged her listeners to to watch the videos of Planned Parenthood released by the Center for Medical Progress.

Kristan said the videos are haunting and show the callousness of Planned Parenthood senior leadership to women and to life.  She said "the videos will upset you but they will motivate you too."  She is right.  You should watch them.

This week the U.S. Congress, with pro-life majorities in the House and Senate, are beginning to consider funding Planned Parenthood with our federal tax dollars.  They must defund Planned Parenthood.  No excuses!  No games!  No kabuki theater that makes it seem like they care but they stop short of acting!

Some members of Congress will tell you that pro-lifers will get blamed for a government shutdown ... in the face of the facts of Planned Parenthood, so what?  We can live with that blame.  And, if taking money away from Planned Parenthood save a single baby, isn't that worth it?

We cannot be complicit in the killing NOW THAT WE HAVE SEEN THE VIDEOS.  Any vote to fund Planned Parenthood is a vote for their killing and dismemberment.  Any member who takes that vote fails to defend life.
