It’s Time To Arrest Zohran Mamdani

Where are the Washingtons and Jeffersons of today? As the joke goes, they are playing in the NFL. They are certainly not leading the Republican Party, and that’s not a joke.

Our heritage is being whittled away in the name of tolerating those who want to destroy our political system through nice-sounding phrases like “democratic socialism.” 

By constantly calling AOC, Zohran Mamdani, and others “democratic socialists,” the fake news media are setting our people up for a rude awakening if they manage to seize power. There is nothing “democratic” about these people. But some Republicans and their “conservative” allies don’t want to admit the obvious.

Unless socialism is declared to be a foreign ideology, a clear and present danger to the American Revolution of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, America will continue to slide into a system that resembles France, under assault by leftists and French Muslims who are setting fire to the schools in the name of saving them.

More than 35 years ago, a very important book was published, entitled, Communists in the Democratic Party. Over the years, my group America’s Survival, Inc. held several conferences devoted to the topic. We were not taken seriously. We had warned that the socialists and progressives were communists doing the bidding of Moscow.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s subversive background includes membership in the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), a group involved in communist espionage against the United States. DSA member Kurt Alan Stand, then 42, a regional labor union representative, along with his wife, Theresa Squillacote, a former senior staff lawyer in the office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, with a security clearance, and friend James Clark, a private investigator, were arrested on October 4, 1997, on charges of spying for East Germany and Russia. They were prosecuted, convicted, and sent to prison. 

Theresa Squillacote, who served 20 years in prison, received a “Reinventing Government” award from Vice President Al Gore. Stand was released from prison in 2012. Stand then became a member of DSA Members Organizing Against Trump. 

Stand and Squillacote were former members of the Young Workers Liberation League, the former name of the youth arm of the Communist Party USA. Kurt Stand’s father, Maximillian Stand, was a long-standing member of the Communist Party USA. 

Hence, the term “democratic” does not apply to the DSA and Mamdani, even though he claims to participate in America’s democracy. The DSA is the same group that backed Barack Obama’s run for the presidency and was once the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International. 

Obama's ties to the DSA go way back. In 1996, he won the endorsement of the Chicago DSA in his run for an Illinois state senate seat. Obama eulogized Saul Mendelson, "a longtime socialist activist," as a DSA newsletter put it, and appeared on at least one DSA panel.

These modern-day “socialists” must be outlawed and banned from the political process. Yet, our leaders, even those of the MAGA brand, refuse to point out the obvious and take the necessary action against them. Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel have to get educated, and fast. 

Rep. Rich McCormick (GA-07) has introduced the Communist Control Act of 2026 (H.R. 10501) to amend the Communist Control Act of 1954 and apply its provisions to the Democratic Socialists of America. There is no need for an update. The Communist Control Act of 1954 outlaws communist organizations and criminalizes membership in or support for “Communist-action” organizations, of which DSA is one.

Until we understand the communist revolution in our midst and get serious about addressing it, America cannot be saved. President Trump must continue to enforce the laws on the books, including the Communist Control Act, but he must go one step further and challenge the “authority” of the federal judges and even the Supreme Court when they usurp or undermine his authority to put down the insurrection.
