ARC - The Alliance For Responsible CitizenshipBy Paul Hayden June 29, 2026I can really get excited about this! There is a conference that just took place in England called the ARC - the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship. You can find its website via this hyperlink. It was begun in 2023 by Jordan Peterson, and “ARC is an alliance of thought leaders and changemakers committed to shaping a hope-filled vision for the future.” It is sort of a culmination of Jordan Peterson's life thoughts and goals. It currently consists of a relatively small group of around 4,000 people (so they say), who gather and share in a collection of speeches on various topics related to the growth and preservation of the best parts of our civilization. I would say these short speeches are meant to inspire, and challenge, and entice, and lift up the listeners to be a part of the ongoing answer for Western civilization. A variety of topics are covered, from family, to faith, to economics and government. (They remind me of the "TEDx Talks," which started around 2006, but sort of fell by the wayside for various reasons.) This is not necessarily to say that our form of civilization is the best in the world, but it is what we have to work with. And it is arguably the very best that we have to work with right now, not that it is the best it can ever be. One can listen to many or maybe all of these short lectures, especially found on their YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRUdudcEw4Uenxz-MAG7rGA. Some despise various parts of Western civilization and wish even to destroy these aspects of our lives. But there needs to be something better to replace that which is torn away, or chaos and anarchy will ensue. In this year of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, it is a monumental moment in which we are living. The earliest founders of our country were not even Americans, which was pointed out at the ARC conference in a talk! They were actually British! But they hoped for something better; they had faith that drove them to do something better than their mother country. And so American was born, out of the good stuff that had been developing in Britain for centuries, but which had gone awry or bad in some ways. The statement concerning ARC on their YouTube page is this: Decline is not inevitable. Purpose is found in contribution. Join us on the adventure. The official YouTube channel of the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) and the ARC Conference. ARC is being established as an international community with a vision for a better world where every citizen can prosper, contribute, and flourish. Our ambition is to draw on our moral, cultural, economic and spiritual foundations to imagine a future where empowered citizens take responsibility and work together to bring flourishing and prosperity to their homes, communities, and beyond. We are citizens from around the world but each of us recognises that our societies are at a turning point: the time to develop a better story is now, and we invite you to join us in building this vision together. Because of my faith, in that which I trust to be truth found in the Bible, I look for human effort to be born and grown and developed in an atmosphere of faith, a spiritual reliance on the direction and strength of God Himself, Who made us and everything, and Who I trust loves us more than we can ever fully know. It is only by God's grace, with a reliance on His wisdom and truth, that anything done by man will be truly good. It must be “born of the spirit” and not “of the flesh,” or based on anything less than the spiritual quality of the Kingdom of God. Jesus says it quite clearly in the Bible: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. God Bless You - God Bless Us All!

Paul Hayden is a Christian believer, and an American patriot, necessarily in that order. He is a student of the Bible, and is avidly interested in our role in the context of history, as understood through the heart and eyes of faith. Paul has lived and traveled somewhat widely, and now lives in the heartland of the U.S. (central Illinois), with his wife Donna - they have five grown children. Since December of 2016, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of www.ConservativeTruth.org."I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom Bonnalee Hunt Hayden married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
