In Chicago, The Dead Are Pawns

The City of Chicago has a high crime problem, which is a result of a lousy judicial system that coddles criminals. The cops are restricted in how they can handle crime. Most of the prosecutors and judges are left wing, who treat the criminals like victims. Over this past Labor Day weekend, 50 people were wounded and 8 were killed. This is worse than the weekly combat casualties suffered in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars.

President Donald Trump recently put the National Guard on the streets of Washington, D.C., with fantastic results. People can now walk the streets of the nation’s capital without as much fear of being attacked. All of this is the result of ICE trying to arrest illegal immigrants and stop the out-of-control crime within the city. 

Based on the results of stopping the crime that was running rampant in Washington, D.C., President Trump has offered to use the National Guard in some of our major cities. The left-wing politicians who run the Democrat controlled cities say no way. They do not want President Trump to bring the crime to a screeching halt. It would make the soft-on-crime politicians look bad. The people who have to live in these crime-ridden cities would point at their politicians and say, “…why didn’t you do something like Trump?”

Chicago Mayor Johnson and Illinois Governor Pritzker refuse to take any action to stop the crime. They claim it’s all due to gun violence, but the City of Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country. But it’s always the gun’s fault, an inanimate mechanical object that requires a human being to operate. It takes a human being to load, aim, and pull the trigger. 

All of the Democrat cities and states want all of the guns. They claim if they can seize all of the guns, there would be no crime, and everyone would be safe. They are not talking about the guns used on the street. They are talking about everyone’s guns, the ones owned by law-abiding citizens. The gun they want is what they call the assault rifle, specifically the AR-15 rifle, which is a long gun. Long guns account for less than 5% of the crimes. The left views anyone who owns one as a half-brained rube who supports Donald Trump, people they believe should not have guns. 

Cynicism exhibited by the mayors and governors is unbelievable, as they totally disregard the safety of their people in order to play politics. For the left, it is more important to cause problems for Donald Trump, than doing what is best for our country. Their goal is a single-party socialist government to rule the United States of America.
