A Serious, But Unintentional Error By The Administration Caused Democrats To Go On The Warpath

April 7, 2025

Over the past several months Republicans and the nation have been witness to the desperation and perhaps dissolution of a political party. Democrats have been at the mercy of an indomitable President, and the whirlwind of policy initiatives and nonstop implementation of his agenda. And for this reason, they have lost sight of their commitment to constituents, and the American people.

The Democratic Party has become irrational and incoherent; their language and vulgar expressions are beneath the offices they hold and the ethical standards of the political class they represent. They are out of control and don’t know which way to turn. Their activities and what can best be described as immature behavior in the public square have made them victims to their own folly, and laughingstocks before the people. They seem to be detached from reality, and have allowed their most inarticulate, outspoken, and hostile members to speak for the party.

They have one agenda, to undermine and disrupt President Trump. But something had to eventually give, and the administration for a brief moment faltered, and opened itself up to an attack. Perhaps it was overconfidence, and inexperience in the ways of the Washington, D.C. swamp. This caused several cabinet members to inadvertently make a mistake, which gave Democrats who had been waiting anxiously for something, anything, to prove they still had value and legitimacy. They were given a brief reprieve, an opening; they were thrown a bone.

Democrats saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and ran toward it with undue haste. They realized that this opening was their way out of the malaise they have lived with, and that it may be brief and will disappear as quickly as it manifested itself. They demanded answers, held committee hearings, and wanted to see heads roll, cabinet members fired. The media did its part in decrying and pointing the finger of blame at their favorite target, President Trump.

What was it that gave Democrats the confidence and will to exert what had been, since the 2024 election, their feelings of hopelessness and despair? It occurred on Signal, an encrypted app and social media platform for conducting confidential meetings. There was a gathering of top administration officials discussing a planned military operation. The officials included Vice President J.D. Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Radcliff, Middle East Envoy Steve Witcoff, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Steven Miller, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard; they were discussing a soon-to-be strike by the United States against the Houthi rebel terrorist group in Yemen.

Most agree that when information of the online secret meeting was released, it was determined that the operation was in fact highly successful and nothing that had been discussed in any way jeopardized the strike. But then, this begs the question; why and how were the minutes of what was to be a confidential meeting on the Signal app, by administration officials, made public?

It seems that an oversight caused when someone determining the members who would take part in the meeting, inadvertently added the contact information of Jeffery Goldberg, the editor of the far-left online publication The Atlantic. Since Mr. Trump entered politics, Goldberg has been one of his most vociferous unapologetic critics. This is the same individual who accused President Trump, during his first presidency, of referring to the military deceased as “suckers and losers,” which was disproved.

This was an embarrassing event for the administration, but it will pass. It also provides us with an insight into the mind of an individual who personifies Trump derangement. It is my opinion that a member of the Fourth Estate that possesses a modicum of journalistic integrity would, for the good of the country and American people, not have released the minutes of the meeting. Goldberg should have contacted the State Department or Attorneys General, brought this matter to their attention, and left it at that.

The outcry from Democrats and their enablers, the media, and all those entities that have been waiting anxiously with bated breath to give the administration a good thrashing, will continue for a time. But let us not forget whom it is they’re dealing with; you would think by now they would understand that President Trump perseveres and is not gullible and prone to intimidation or idle threats. When will they learn?
