Life Is A TreasureBy Paul Hayden March 24, 2025"Life is good, as long as you don't weaken." My mom used to say that. Life is also temporary, at least here on Earth. That is just as true, if or when you weaken. One week ago, I had a heart procedure done called a “heart ablation," to correct the problem of A-Fib - atrial fibrillation. It was a success - so far, so good. “Normal sinus rhythm” - regular beating of my heart - and a regular resting heart rate of low-70s, with acceptable blood pressure readings, has been achieved. Even though it is a common and fairly “safe” procedure, it still had some even life-threatening risks involved. I am quite thankful it is over, and that it was successful. That's the good news. Now I need to get back to it and do the things of life. Don't you hate it sometimes when your excuses are taken away! The past few weeks I've been in anticipation of this minor surgery, in hopes that it would help me be alive for whatever time I have left in this life. Now I've just got to do it - LIVE! All around us there are needs to be met. Chores at home. Things need to be fixed, or cleaned, or sorted, or discarded or passed on to someone else. We have to manage our finances. We care for those around us. In the meantime, we also spend time with our friends, whether in person or now, commonly, online. How do you decide how to spend your “free time?” Sometimes, about all the energy you have left is just enough to recuperate, so you can do it again tomorrow. Join me in being thankful that you have today, and tomorrow. Some do not. God bless you!

My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
