Promises Made, Promises Kept - One More TimeFebruary 3, 2025If one were to extrapolate anything from the 2024 presidential election, it proved to the nation how no two people are exactly alike, and can be even drastically different, especially in their philosophies and world views. This can take into account character, ideology, decency, mental acuity, morality, traditional values, and virtue. Why this is so meaningful now, is because in this case, it involves two people of extraordinary station in life, Presidents of the United States. The article I submitted for your review last week discussed the presidential farewell address of the defeated Joe Biden, then 46th President of the United States, and how the overall content of the speech and its impact left much to be desired. In this week’s offering, I’ll make an effort to advance another opinion and why its positive impact and accuracy can be justified. The above title indicates, during the 2016 campaign and his tenure in office, former President Trump was tagged with the line “Promises made, Promises kept.” Going forward, this same declaration has stuck, and the now newly-elected 47th president must face the same intense scrutiny of his agenda and whether it will uphold its promises. Thus far, President Trump has implemented over 350 executive orders in less than a week in office. I’ve listed some for your review. Critical policy and legislation I would think should follow. > Implementing once again the “Remain in Mexico” policy and closing the southern border; ordering American military troops deployed to stop any illegal entries, by force if necessary. > Discontinued the Green New Deal which placed the need and emphasis on green energy over oil and natural gas in vehicles, furnaces, and home appliances. > Discontinued the Electric Vehicle mandate that the manufacture and sale of electric vehicles take precedence over gas-powered. > Pardoned over 1500 protesters who stormed the Capitol on January 06, 2021. Many included those found guilty of misdemeanors for non-violent offenses. > Fly only the American flag at government facilities, especially outside American embassies. The only exception would be the flag of the host nation. > Implement a federal hiring freeze until further notice. > Withdrawal from the World Health Organization. > 2 million federal workers must return to work in person to perform their responsibilities. If they refuse to return, they will be offered a buyout equal to their combined salaries through October of this year, or face termination. > Withdraw from the World Climate Accords. > Discontinue all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offices and programs in government agencies. > Pardon all 23 pro-life advocates who have been brought up on charges by the Department of Justice, which included praying and singing of hymns outside abortion facilities. In a televised appearance at the January 24 March for Life in Washington DC, the president proclaimed “We will always stand for precious little babies who cannot stand up for themselves. We will again stand for families and for life.” > It will no longer be permitted to incarcerate transgender females (biological males) in women’s prisons; this will include the removal of any men from women’s prisons that now exist. > Establish the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). > Perform an audit of expenditures of any program that is to be considered for implementation. > Discontinue any Critical Race Theory (CRT) programs at military academies. > There will be no transgender people serving openly in military service. President Trump has labeled it “gender insanity.” > Military people at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic who refused to be vaccinated and were terminated will be reinstated with back pay. This will cover both active and reserve. > Creation of an “Iron Dome,” similar to that of Israel’s, which blankets the sky against incoming missile attack. > The banning of all child gender care, which includes chemical and surgical mutilation. These are but a few of President Trump's Executive Orders, and take note of the ideological mindset and differences between the two presidents, for when compared they are completely in opposition to each other. Most of these presidential orders I’ve listed here were part of the Biden-Harris anti-traditional values and institution agenda and its intense motivations in the Culture War. Many of these were reversals of the 2017 then-President Trump's actions. Also, keep in mind that a majority of the American people voted for President Trump and his agenda.
