Happy New Year! Whoop-ti-doo!By Paul Hayden December 30, 2024I don't really get into everything new at the beginning of each year. It seems rather artificial. If you like it, go for it. For me, it can be a time when I start a new calendar, and sort of clean out some drawers, either real or in my head. And it can be a time for maybe starting some new "habits," or setting some new goals, even if they are pretty simple and basic, and easy to accomplish, in light of past attempts.....but we won't talk about those right now. Okay, so I do get into it a little bit. Let go of the old, make room in your head for some new thinking, try some different things than you are used to, be a little more brave and a lot less fearful. One thing I want to do is to jump back in and once again read and study the New Testament in the Bible. It is filled with truth that can direct our lives, answer our deepest questions, renew our hope and trust in God, and fill our lives with the love and joy and peace that truly makes life worth living! May God fill you with His love and joy and peace for the coming year! God bless you all!

Paul Hayden is a Christian believer, and an American patriot, necessarily in that order. He is a student of the Bible, and is avidly interested in our role in the context of history, as understood through the heart and eyes of faith. Paul has lived and traveled somewhat widely, and now lives in the heartland of the U.S. (central Illinois), with his wife Donna - they have five grown children. Since December of 2016, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of www.ConservativeTruth.org."I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom Bonnalee Hunt Hayden married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
