Maybe Momma Was Right ......maybe we had to suffer to succeed.By Ric Wasley November 11, 2024After disappointments and setbacks, Momma always used to say, “Well, maybe it’s all for the best and will lead to something even better.” As usual, Momma was right. Maybe we needed to see just how bad things could get when the Leftist, Marxist Democrats took control of the country. Maybe it took the corruption, oppression, and heavy hand of the totalitarian state to show just how bad life could be under a one-party dictatorship. Maybe Americans needed to see up close and personal just how an evil and corrupt regime could destroy our laws and justice protections that we thought were guaranteed under the Constitution, how they could be abridged and denied by a malicious and all-powerful government monolith to bring us to our senses. Maybe we needed to realize that the MSM is and has been for decades, nothing more than the propaganda arm of the DNC, set there to propagate lies and disinformation. And that their so-called journalists are nothing more than over-paid party hacks. Maybe we needed to finally acknowledge that the under-talented and grossly over-paid singers, actors, and athletes are not smarter than the average American, but they are actually dumber than a bag of shiny but worthless pebbles. And that the only worthwhile thing that they can do for themselves and us… is to do what we pay them for…to shut up and sing. Maybe we needed to accept that college is not the panacea for a better life that we’ve been told. But rather it is an expensive daycare designed to turn potentially successful young people into infantilized snowflakes equipped only to spend the rest of their lives in their parent's basement. It also showed what most of us have long suspected - that the so-called prestigious “Ivy League” schools, were in fact ‘poison’ ivy,' which charged obscene prices to turn out indoctrinated dopes. Likewise, the past four years finally woke people up to the snake pit of public education which the radical teachers' union has taken over to indoctrinate our children and replace their parents with state-supported Leftist advocates. Maybe it took that unprecedented and unconstitutional persecution of Donald Trump by a corrupt regime to illustrate that the Marxist Democrats had completely infiltrated and perverted our justice system to the point where it was no longer about protecting the rights of the citizens but denying them. Maybe it took the horror of turning our cities from exciting, vibrant hubs of culture and charm into cesspools of violence, crime, poverty, and murder. Maybe it took taking our country from a melting pot where people immigrated legally for the opportunity to work to better their lives and become Americans...to the Democrat nightmare of illegally importing millions of indigents and criminals whose only goal is to live off the taxpayer, or rob, rape and murder them. And maybe we had to learn that Democrats are ready, willing, and able to destroy the country as a trade-off to achieve their unconstitutional and cynical goal. Namely, to flood our country with millions of new welfare dependents who they will now focus all of their malevolent energies on to turn into registered voters to replace the millions of Americans that their policies have lost forever. Maybe it took having the Democrats control and pervert, corrupt and destroy every aspect of our lives - from interest rates to jobs. From inflation to prices. From crime to lawlessness. From immigration to invasion. From fairness to injustice. From freedom to oppression. From truth to…lies. From hope to despair. From our lives during the Democrat take-over…to getting them back today. So maybe Momma was right and we all had to suffer the national nightmare of the last four years to understand just how horrible life could be under Democrat/Marxist control. Maybe it took living that nightmare to realize that we had to get out and work and fight to extricate our beloved country from the national nightmare and, as our president so beautifully put it, "Make America Great Again." And momma? We did it.
