Harris Shows True Self With Offhand Remark To Christians

There’s a saying that politics is downstream of culture, and with today’s Democrat Party that seems to ring true. As the culture in America has drifted ever more secular and amoral over the last 60 years, so have the Democrats. Remember the 2020 Democrat convention when the organizers tried, and almost succeeded, to wipe God totally from any mention at the event? The only memorable mention of God in the Biden administration was faltering Joe’s speech ending, “God save the Queen.” Queen of what? Elizabeth II was long gone by then.

At a recent Harris campaign event, the Vice President was droning on about how critical a woman’s freedom to choose is, when a couple of young men had the temerity to interject with chants of “Jesus is Lord” and other statements of praise. Harris’ response was telling: “You all are at the wrong rally.” Whatever Harris’s motivations were, to lighten the moment for her supporters, or to simply shut the young men up or humiliate them, her retort said a lot about where Harris stands regarding Christianity, and especially toward Christians who express pro-life views.

In all of the Democrats’ happy talk about being the party of personal freedom, they never mention that the “freedoms” they favor are only available for behaviors they favor. In reality, their projection regarding their claims that Donald Trump is a fascist should be glaringly obvious. It is the Democrat party that wishes to impose the heavy hand of government in our lives, as they unwittingly demonstrate with the “Julia” ads that extol the government’s cradle-to-grave protection of us poor, helpless citizens.

As a Christian, I’m not supposed to believe in the concept of “karma,” but it seems strange that the Kamala campaign, which initially was based on “joy” and “good vibes” has disintegrated to the point where even the dedicated progressive Anderson Cooper of CNN had no problem last week asking Harris tough questions, and then sitting back while she made a “word salad” fool of herself. It’s also an ominous sign for Harris that traditionally solid sources of support for the Dems’ presidential candidate are turning their backs on her. Although most of these sources, like the Washington Post for example, would never go so far as to switch allegiance to Donald Trump, their failure to endorse Harris is telling, and in fact almost serves as a de facto Trump endorsement.

Back in 2008, many voters either ignored or were unaware of the warning signs regarding Barack Obama’s past associations with known Communists and other radicals, including the Rev. Jeremiah Wright of “America’s chickens are coming home to roost” infamy. Voters cannot afford to be as ill-informed or nonchalant about Kamala Harris, and we certainly cannot trust what she says about her “middle-class” upbringing when both parents were employed as professors with the generous salaries and benefits those positions entail. Important also are her parents’ views regarding religion and politics – her father is a self-proclaimed Marxist and her mother is a Hindu. With that background, it’s small wonder that Harris seems to be dismissive of Christianity. It’s one thing for Obama to claim that “America is not a Christian nation,” and fail to participate in the National Prayer Breakfast while claiming to be a Christian himself; it’s another to have a candidate who may be openly hostile to Christianity and makes no claims about religious preferences herself.

The scare-mongering about Trump smacks of desperation in the Harris camp, and to determine who the real fascists are, we must ask ourselves some reality-based questions. For instance, which party do you think would require doctors to perform abortions even if their religious beliefs contravened performing the procedure? Which party has done its best to suppress free speech, especially when the speech comes from a conservative point of view? With this in mind, think about how easy it will be for a President Harris to ban fracking, provide an easy path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, etc., despite her claims that her positions have moderated on these issues. The dedicated progressive will always have what seems like a valid excuse for employing dictatorial methods – the seriousness of COVID, the danger of allowing a “controversial” conservative speaker on a college campus, a “highly-regarded study” that shows how harmful fracking is to the environment, and so on. 

Israel has now, perhaps inadvertently, provided an “October surprise” with its invasion of Iran. This too is not good news for the Harris campaign, since Biden’s and her efforts promoting a dead-on-arrival cease-fire have clearly failed. It’s doubtful that a majority of Americans will waver in their support for Israel even while the media propaganda machine tries their best to make this happen. In fact, this invasion may finally bring to light the utter imbecility of the Obama-Biden-Harris policy of appeasement toward Iran.
