A Call For Christians to Stand Against the Communist Democratic Party

Are you living within a sentimental daydream of what is happening around you and about what God is doing? Or are you aware of genuine suffering of the body politic and genuine cultural tragedies? We are facing a cultural tragedy right now. The Democratic Party, one of two great parties of the USA, has been co-opted by the communist ideologues, the power mad neo-Marxists, in our political establishment.

They can call it liberalism or social justice or togetherness, but it is this writer’s considered judgment based on 30+ years of teaching history that, without exaggeration and without intent to pin any pejorative labels on anyone, the Democratic candidate today and the Party to which she belongs can rightfully be considered to be communist in terms of policy positions and goals. Wake up, and pray against this development with an urgency and sincerity that you have never before brought before Almighty God in the realm of politics and social policy.

Why are you so complacent about the leftist direction of our culture and especially of so many colleges and universities, which in turn have spawned a leftist oriented media? Why are you going with the flow so often when opposing political views are expressed in your presence? This writer grew up with leftist intellectuals in my high school, Central High in Philadelphia. They thought they had all the answers then, and some of them still arrogantly affirm the same claptrap. Then I met many more leftists when I attended the University of Pennsylvania. These institutions are even further left today! 

You have to ask these Democrats you meet why they are not more grateful for the opportunities they have had and the advancement they have enjoyed under the capitalist, rights-oriented society they live in? Ask them whether they are not 1000 times better off because their grandparents or great-grandparents were welcomed here, struggling yes, but laying the foundation for generational progress from which they have benefitted enormously?

Where is the gratitude?  Years ago, after experiencing the disorder, cruelty, and ignorance of the country of Iran, where I had a teaching position, it became apparent to me that a new attitude of gratitude for the USA was needed. That gratitude for America the beautiful was needed for me to build a good and satisfying life. 

When you meet a Democratic Party enthusiast, ask that leftist: where is your gratitude? where is your gratitude? Don't raise your voice. Don't yell in their faces. But ask them over and over and over, whenever there is a legitimate moment to ask: where is your gratitude? Why are you not more grateful for living here? Why are you not more grateful for capitalism and for your educational and vocational opportunities?

Do you as a born again believer feel threatened by the communist takeover of the Democratic Party? Or do you find yourself saying repeatedly "God is in control?" Are you certain that is not a cop-out response?  When we say "God is in control" should we not mean that there is no need to despair over an undesirable outcome, but we should not use that sentence to minimize the importance of that undesirable outcome.  

We are going to give God the glory in all circumstances, but we need to be aware when we are in a bad spot.  The enormity of the unpleasant proposition must sink in. Then we know what to pray about. Then we know what we must oppose. You see, communism, despite the liberation theology people who think communism can be combined with Christianity, is an atheistic ideology. For Karl Marx and his followers, "religion is the opiate of the people." His writings teach that religion in all its forms is an invention of the capitalists to cause the proletariat (working class) to rationalize their oppression instead of moving towards the revolutionary path of taking over the means of production by violent revolution.

The American left, represented by the Democratic Party, just held a convention where there were no American flags flying.  Pres. Obama offered his enthusiastic support for Hillary Rodham Clinton. Both candidates are for homosexual marriage, for abortion, for boys being allowed into girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms, and for placing crushing burdens on free enterprise. 

Both want to curtail freedom of speech and of religion, specifically evangelical Christianity.  Both portray all whites as having an almost biological element of racism in their personalities. The families of murdered policemen were not invited to speak at their convention although those killed by police were invited even though those cases have not yet been fully vetted. This rhetoric of pitting so-called underdogs against so-called topdogs in the top 1% is the rhetoric of communism, not the rhetoric of free men and women operating responsibly in a free society.

Additionally, both have singularly avoided referring to acts of Islamic terrorism in the U.S. and throughout the world as Islamic terrorism.  Even the country of Egypt, a Muslim country, has declared the Muslim Brotherhood to be a terrorist organization, but the U.S. has not.  In fact, some of the top advisers to President Obama and to HRC are members of the Muslim Brotherhood. 

The Islamic Society of North America and the Committee for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) are Islamic organizations that also embrace their relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood, and they in turn are also embraced by the leadership of the Democratic Party.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both insist that we should not rush to judgment or indict Islam whenever there is a terrorist attack by radical Islam.  By doing so, they are making a mockery of the suffering of the victims and their families. They are mocking the people who are legitimately fearful and offended. They are mocking common sense and the rule of law. They are pretending a restraint and patience that is unwarranted. He is adhering to a denial and false value system or the left.  

If someone is attacking your home, your family, your life, your values, your hope, your God, can you sit back and say "You seem to be upset, but I'm not gonna judge y' pal. Nope. I'm gonna consider the various oppressions in your life from the top 1% of the pigs in this world. You wouldn't be this way if you were treated with the respect and kindness you deserve." This ideation would be considered absurd and idiotic in a common man.

Forgiveness and prayer for the culprits, yes, of course, they are always appropriate, but dear friends, we are told in our Holy Bible that government exists to put down the evil doers. Not only does the Bible say it, but both Thomas Hobbes and John Locke in their social contract theories, essential for the founding of our country although with different emphases, agree on that point.

Is the validation of and protection of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" still in force or not? Is the English Declaration of Rights of 1688 still valid or not? Is the Declaration of Rights of the French Revolution still valid or not? Is the U.N. Declaration of Rights of 1945 still valid or not? Is it not obvious that the President's, Hillary’s and the Left's response to terrorism flies in the face of these many affirmations of "rights" that are the foundation of Western Civilization?  “Rights” do not exist in sharia law, and rights are not recognized in most of the Muslim nation-states.  Throughout North Africa and the Middle East, conversion away from Islam is punishable by death.  Freedom of religion is not considered a “right.”

The reason for this dissembling about Islam is that the left is united ideologically with the Islamist terrorists in their bid to destabilize the U.S. and the West and to overthrow capitalism using the Islamists' strategically to accomplish long-run goals, intending to dispense with them at the right time.  Of course, the Islamists, in a parallel fashion, are using their left-wing sympathizers to accomplish their goals to destroy the infidels and their governments.   

All of us, especially those of us who live in major urban areas were the leftist Democrats abound, must reassess daily, and note our willingness to go along with the cultural Marxism that, in the form of political correctness, permeates so many aspects of our lives and, more importantly, our thought patterns.

We must exorcise our false beliefs. We must pray for more wisdom and clarity. As we do so, our erroneous thoughts will come to mind. Jesus taught, "the truth will set you free." Yes, o mighty God and Savior, set me and all your children free from our false beliefs, our doctrinaire absorption of false tendencies and sentimental pap about who were are as persons and where we are going as a country, as a people. Free us to depend on You and to have a rational and true understanding of our own personhood and the meaning of friendship, family, individuality, freedom itself, and of the meaning of having kind and whole relationships.
