Stewart’s “Moderate” Rally Laughable

September 20, 2010

Whatever his role on television—comedian, political satirist, news reporter—Jon Stewart is most assuredly not a “moderate” by any stretch of the imagination. Although he may give lip service to criticizing the far left from time to time, the main focus of his barbs, far and away, is the conservative right. His planned “Million Moderates” rally scheduled for October 30th is much more a response to Glenn Beck’s recent Restoring Honor rally on the Capitol mall, than it is toward the weak counter-rallies held by Rev. Al Sharpton and other liberal leaders. What this is really about is an attempt by Stewart and his liberal supporters to not allow Beck’s inspiring rally to go unanswered.

It turns out, according to a recent Newsbusters article, that Stewart’s event is being organized by two former or current employees of ex-president Bill Clinton. Given the slick one’s open disparagement of the Tea Party movement, this should come as no surprise. The only real surprise will be a massive turnout for this fraudulent event.

Elitists showed their true colors in two other prominent cases last week. After Christine O’Donnell’s upset of establishment RINO Mike Castle in Delaware’s senatorial primary, Castle played sore loser by (1) not congratulating O’Donnell on her victory, let alone pledging any support for her campaign, and (2) blaming conservative talk radio, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity in particular, for his loss. Seems like Mr. Castle should look in a mirror for the real culprit in his defeat.

In the other case, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (RINO-Alaska) refused to gracefully exit upon her upset by Tea Party-backed Joe Miller and instead is launching a write-in campaign that will surely not help Miller’s chances. Murkowski, in following the example of fellow RINO Charlie Crist in Florida, refuses to acknowledge that the people have spoken and have told RINOs like her, Crist and Castle that it’s time for a change in Washington from the same old liberal and liberal-lite policies that have dragged the nation into such a hole.

Elitists are showing by their words and actions that they will not easily relinquish their grip on power in this country, and their friends in the “mainstream” media will help them in any way they can. We need to soundly defeat all of them this fall.
