Darned Inflation... (and related items of current interest)
Let me tell you something, this INFLATION has really gotten completely
out of hand.
A British researcher, Stephen Hughes, has a new book out, "Morocco Under
The Rule of King Hassan," in which he claims that in the 1950s Israel paid
$250 to Morocco for each Jew that would be allowed to leave and make aliya
to Israel.
I mean, it really makes you think about inflation! Do you realize how
many times that figure Israel paid to the PLO over the past decade per each
Jew murdered by the PLO?
The Shimon Peres Peace Center, dedicated to proliferation of the pagan
cult of Simple Shimon, has a new head guru, Ron Pundik, one of the two
nitwit academics who originally negotiated the Oslo deal with the PLO at
Yossi Beilin’s behest in the early 1990s. He takes over for Carmi Gilon,
the ex-head of the Shin Bet who employed Avishai Raviv and neglected to make
sure Rabin was adequately guarded, now having completed his tour of duty
there.
The Israeli military is peacocking about cause it finally caught the
perps of the lynch of the two reservists in Ramallah this past year. And
what will be done with them? Were there homes demolished and extended
families expelled? Will they be executed?
Nope. Why, they will be kept as guests of the prison authorities till
the next time the Israeli government releases some terrorists as a new
goodwill gesture to get the PLO to sign a ceasefire, or in exchange for some
kidnapped Israelis. No, the perps will not be given a Timothy McVeigh
sendoff party.
The bill that would have made incitement to violence a crime was voted
down yesterday in the Knesset, so Azmi Bashara and his followers can
continue to call openly for genocide of Jews. Before voting on it,
however, the Knesset, including much of the Likud and led by the Left to
which the Likud now belongs, first voted to STRIP the bill of that clause
that would allow people to express approval of the use of violence against
terrorists and enemies of the country. Because of this, SHAS at the last
minute refused to back the bill.
Guess whose new official mantra is "There is no military solution to the
problems of terrorism and PLO violence."
Is it the Arab communists? Maybe Yossi Beilin and Ron Pundik? How ’bout
Shulamit Aloni?
No, grasshopper, it is the new slogan of Ariel Sharon. Spoken Saturday

Hebrew University now hosts a faculty person in "Political Violence and
Terrorism", one Molly Peleg. She has an Op-Ed in today’s Haaretz (June 26).
It goes without saying that she is all in favor of violence and sees
Sharon’s conditioning further appeasements on a real ceasefire as an
outrageous act of demagoguery and human rights abuse.
