Try "Oslo Criminals"?
(and other items of current interest)

  1. One of the interesting developments in recent days is that the Oslo Left is suddenly getting nervous about all those calls coming out of the non-Left to put the initiators of Oslo on trial. One call for such is coming from Israel Katz, a Likud backbencher.

The Left is wetting itself with anguish over this. One counterpointer is Prof. Moshe Zimmerman, a vintage member of the Post-Zionist campus Tenured Reds. He is a foul-mouthed extremist leftist Hebrew University historian who spends his time trying to prove all opponents of Oslo are Nazis. You may recall him as saying that the children of settlers are Hitlerjugend.

Anyway, Zimmerman has a guest Op-Ed in Haaretz today, "Failure in Understanding History", arguing that the calls to put the Oslo Inventors on trial is identical to the calls in Nazi Germany to put the "November Criminals" on trial. Get it? Once again, opponents of Oslo equal Nazis. Now whether the calls to try the Oslo "criminals" is more like the Nazi calls to put post-WWI leaders on trial or more like the call to put Timothy McVeigh on trial is something we can all debate. Naturally, Zimmerman does not see any "crime" in Oslo, only in those who oppose Oslo, the real criminals that need be prosecuted.

Meanwhile, Meir Peil, another vintage anti-Zionist Far Leftist "intellectual", is on the radio today, denouncing those who speak about putting the Oslo Team on trial. What do you want?, screams Peil. Don’t you realize that without inviting the PLO into the suburbs of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and arming them we would not have that nice treaty with Jordan? And if bombs are blowing up Jewish schoolgirls it is all the fault of Menahem begin.

  2. Meanwhile, the Reform synagogue movement keeps canceling its tours to Israel cause it is so dangerous. You got that?

For years the Reform movement led the campaign in the US to pressure Israel to recognize and negotiate with the PLO, to withdraw from the "occupied territories", to surrender in Lebanon and leave the Golan Heights to Syria, to follow an Oslo program, to follow the directives of Shimon Peres and Yossi Beilin, and to condition US support on Israel following these Reform fatwas. And now, here we are, after Israel has been following the diktats and advice of the Reformies, with all the inevitable consequences of such advice, and now the Reform have decided Israel is too dangerous a place for them to be visiting.

Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert responded by cutting off all ties between the Municipality and the Reform movement and reportedly both Reform Jews in Jerusalem said they were upset by all this.

And to THINK. The Reform movement has spent so much time promoting the PLO and the PLO does not even admit open homosexuals as stormtroop commanders!!

  3. As you know, Israeli courts are fully conscripted in the battle to promote Oslo. In a recent famous court decision, a Jerusalem Magistrate’s court sentenced one Fuad Abu Jubana of East Jerusalem to four months in jail plus parole, this for attacking a group of policemen with rocks and trying to torch a police station.

    Only four months?

Well the judges note that the perp was a suffering victim of occupation, and so a "nationalist attack" on police should not be regarded as a felony.
