Denmark is rarely worth discussing in ANY context, but lately Denmark
has been awash in a wave of Israel bashing. Anti-Jewish demonstrations
abound, composed of the usual leftist Eurotrash and Moslem immigrants.
The Danes led a jihad against the appointment of ex-spook Carmi Gillon as
Israeli Ambassador to Denmark, threatening him with prosecution. (No not
for misusing the intelligence services to harass the Israeli Right but
rather for daring to occasionally arrest Arab terrorists.)
And now the Danish Foreign Minister has come up with a new bon mot:
JERUSALEM (October 19) - Danish Foreign Minister Mogens Lykketoft
infuriated Israeli diplomatic officials following tourism minister
Rehavam Ze’evi’s assassination, when he said on a Danish television
program Wednesday night that there is no difference between the
assassination and Israel’s targeted killing of terrorists.
"Political murder in that area is not anything new," Lykketoft said.
Victor Harel, the Foreign Ministry’s deputy director-general for Europe,
said the ministry was "shocked" by Lykketoft’s comments.
One is tempted to respond by saying that we see no difference between
the Danish Foreign Minister and a bucket of manure.
SO let us be clear. The Dane official position is that when Israel
assassinates a Palestinian terrorist who has perpetrated mass murders of
children, this is exactly the moral equivalence of Palestinian fascist
terrorists murdering the elected cabinet minister in a democratic country.
