1. It is news when man bites dog, not when dog bites man. It is news when the Road Runner chases Wiley Coyote and not the other way around. It would be headline news if Haaretz ever expressed disapproval of the murder of Jews by the PLO.

   And it is news when a Jew lobs a rock at a Palestinian car.

   When Palestinians lob rocks at Jewish cars and wound, maim and murder the riders, this is NOT news. It is boring drudgery, mundane regularity. Papers never even report it. Certainly BBC would not consider it news. After all, the State Department insists that mere tossing of rocks at people is symbolic non-violent protest, except when done on Los Angeles freeway overpasses. The Israeli Left agrees. Youths letting off steam due to all that Occupation, that is all it is. The Israeli government routinely releases rock-terrorists as non-violent misdemeanor perps.

   Except that yesterday the Road Runner stoned the Coyote for a change. Some people, the press suspects Jews, tossed a rock at a Palestinian taxi. Hit the driver in the noggen and the car overturned, killing the driver. (No one really knows if it was a Jew who stoned the Pals, although Haaretz "reports" that it was cause the reporter thinks so.)

   Suddenly the Israeli Left and its amen chorus over in Bush House are having a conniption. Terrorists! Murderers! Arrest them! Suddenly rock tossing is not mere symbolic protest. Not even an Edward Said style gesture of joy.

   Then to make things all the more entertaining, when the body of the victim is turned over to the PLO Reichlet, two rival Arab clans both claim the body as theirs and street fighting breaks out, automatic rifle fire and all.

   Finally, a 16 year old Jew from Jerusalem has been arrested for stabbing 5 Palestinians. You will recall that mere stabbing of Jews by Arabs has never constituted "having blood on their hands" when releasing terrorists from Israeli prison, and in any case the whole world has insisted for decades that Palestinian minors below age 18 tossing rocks and Molotovs and stabbing are mere children and victims of Israeli brutality protesting injustice.

   Popcorn anyone?

2. There is a new hit musical in Iraq, the Daily Express reports, a love story based on a romance between Saddam Hussein and a young innocent chickadee. Saddam is represented as a sentimental sensitive alpha male. Apparently he will be played by Al Gore. I know I am getting MY tickets early!

3. The Tikkun wing of the Likud, led by Miki Eitan, is meeting with Labor lefties and with Dan Meridor to create a new movement for "unilateral separation from the Palestinian territories". I am sure that will work fine, except under the off chance that the PLO thinks up the dastardly idea of actually shooting mortars and shells OVER the wall that these fine people wish to erect.

4. One of those countless tiny communist-front "peace groups" is named "Taish", purportedly a "Jewish-Arab" coalition, no doubt funded by New Israel Fund. It has been illegally constructing dirt roads to illegal Arab villages, that is groups of squatters sitting on Israeli lands they do not own, this under the sacred principle holding that Israeli Arabs need never obey the law because they are so oppressed. Suddenly the same Israeli government that responds with lightning speed every time any Jews set up an "illegal" outpost some place in the "territories" is sitting back passively.

   More evidence that Ariel Sharon has been possessed by the Ehud Barak dybbuk.

5. Gotta say that I really am at a loss as to what to say about the Carmi Gillon affaire d’etat. You will recall that Carmi Gillon was the bungling incompetent politicized leftist chief of the General Security Services (Shin Bet), the fellow who used agents provocateur to play dirty tricks to discredit the anti-Oslo movement, the guy whose mole ran Yigal Amir and failed to take his threats of murdering Rabin seriously, the guy whose agents were asleep on their feet when Amir got close to Rabin that evening. The same Gillon who was incapable of barking warning to his Labor Party owners about what the PLO was up to nor to point out why Oslo would fail. Like his guru Peres, convinced that being nice to the Palestinians would make anti-Semites start to love Jews.

   Well, the same fella has been appointed Israeli Ambassador to Denmark.

   Meanwhile, the Danish leftist Eurotrash have been marching about demanding that Gillon be prosecuted in Denmark, not for misusing his office in an undemocratic manner to persecute the Israeli Right mind you, but because he supposedly "tortured" po’ Palestinian terrorists while in prison, no doubt through providing them with VCR’s that were very hard to program.

   SO now one does not know whether to feel outrage at the Danish street Eurotrash or to cheer them on.
