In a stunning move this week, the Maryland state legislature decided to push through a law making Maryland a sanctuary state, just days after a 14-year-old girl was brutally sexually assaulted and raped by two young men who were illegal immigrants. In their handling of this horrific act the State of Maryland, the County of Montgomery and the City of Rockville made a conscious decision to sacrifice this young girl on the altar of Liberal theology.
Yes, I said “theology.” The Democrats, Socialists, and other Progressives have established a new religion called Liberalism. As strongly as you and I believe in a Risen Christ, Who is at the right hand of His Heavenly Father, these fanatics believe just as strongly... More...

Strong Borders do not Diminish America's Compassion
Peter Lemiska
As a sovereign nation, America has an absolute right and an obligation to its citizens to secure its borders. Those who equate compassion to open borders are exposing all citizens to preventable danger. More...
America's historical entanglement with the "religion of peace"
David Hunter
Those that assume that radical Islam is a modern phenomenon that became prominent during Bill Clinton's tenure as president in the 1990s merely scratch the historical surface of America's complicated political entanglement with the Middle East's supposed "religion of peace."  In truth, the tentacles of radical Islam go all the way back to Thomas Jefferson. On Wednesday (3/15/17), at a rally in Nashville, President Trump proclaimed that, “A judge has just blocked our Executive Order on travel and refugees coming into our country from certain countries….We’re going to fight this terrible ruling. We’re going to take our case as far as it needs to go including all the way up to the Supreme Court. The danger is clear – the law is clear – the need for my Executive order is clear…” More...

On the same day (3/21/17) that the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal warned that President Donald Trump was going to go down in history as a “fake president,” in part because of his “false tweet” about the “wiretapping” of Trump Tower, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee disclosed evidence of the wiretapping, also known as surveillance.
The Journal editorial, “A President’s Credibility,” will probably not be followed up by an editorial on the Journal’s lack of credibility. More...

President Donald Trump is usually a fan of Fox News, but his opinion may now be changing. Fox News has been caught misrepresenting its own interview with Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) on the subject of alleged wiretapping of President Trump, in order to make Trump look bad. The cable channel also threw one of its own commentators, Judge Andrew Napolitano, under the bus for highlighting a possible British role in gathering intelligence on Trump and his associates. President Donald Trump fared much better in the House Intelligence Committee hearing on Monday than the left-wing, establishment media would have you believe. The American Spectator’s George Neumayr captured the essence of the findings: “…the core claim underlying Trump’s tweets is true: people acting on the authority of Obama opened an investigation into Trump’s campaign, then criminally leaked mention of it to friendly news outlets in an attempt to derail his election. When is Obama going to apologize for that?” More...
The new blueprint for terror
Dr. Joe Alton
The Westminster attack is following the new trend in terror, at least for Western Europe: Using vehicles to cause mayhem on innocent civilians. Joe Alton explores why vehicular terror is now a favorite method of terrorists from Israel to London. More...

President Donald Trump has pledged to sign the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that prohibits the federal government from taking action against individuals who oppose same-sex marriage, although “individuals” is defined broadly in the bill to include for-profit businesses. National Review reported, “This means that the legislation would protect schools, private businesses, and individuals from being stripped of nonprofit tax-exempt status, grants, contracts, or accreditation, as the result of holding particular religious beliefs about the nature of marriage.” More...

When General Robert F. Lee was asked by Confederate President Jefferson Davis to give his opinion about a certain officer, he gave a glowing report. One of the officers in attendance was amazed at his words. He said to Lee, “General, do you know that the man of whom you speak so highly to the President is one of your bitterest enemies, and never missed an opportunity to criticize you?” Lee said, “Yes, but the President asked my opinion of him, he didn’t ask for his opinion of me.”
It’s interesting how Lee possessed the character, purity, and ability to see beyond the beast in the other officer. He could find ‘beauty’ in the ‘beast.’ That was hard to do then and harder to do now in today’s ‘build yourself up by tearing others down’ polarized world. Polarization is assuming we are the beauty and they are the beast, no matter which side of the fence you are on. That’s a tale as old as time.

In the aftermath of the Wednesday terrorist attack in London, many took to Twitter with another “feel-good” hashtag campaign. This time it is #WEARENOTAFRAID.
It is another lame attempt by liberals of what Michelle Malkin calls “virtue signaling.” She explains that hashtag campaigns are “easy advertisements and maudlin displays of one's resolute opposition to an unidentified something that must be stopped somehow by unspoken means.” It is also an effort for those with no identity of their own to identify with and involve themselves in the crisis without ever having to actually do anything.

In a recent opinion column for The Washington Post, former United Nations ambassador and national security advisor to Barack Obama, Susan Rice, had the temerity to lecture President Donald Trump about telling the truth. She writes that “our friends must be able to trust the word of the U.S. President.”
This extends far beyond hypocrisy coming from a person who visited five Sunday talk shows to peddle administration falsehoods about the 2012 terror attacks in Benghazi, Libya. In addition, she served in those positions during a period of other disastrous foreign policy decisions—deceptively sold to the American people—such as the Iran nuclear deal and the entire Libyan debacle.
