Trump is Wrong on Iraq, Touts the Democrat Line

How can Trump beat Hillary when he is touting her own rhetoric and that of the Democrat party? He is repeating the lie that the Democrats put out in 2006 to win a critical election.

With a Republican House and Senate and popular re-elected President Bush, the then desperate Democrats had to find a way to attack. They decided to turn public opinion of Iraq into another Vietnam. The words “quagmire,” and “there was no WMD,” “Bush lied, soldiers died,” filled the airwaves. History of ten years of UN sanctions and the facts of Hussein’s chemical weapons program was erased as political propaganda swept over America.

It worked. In the critical 2006 midterm election the Democrats took control of both Houses of Congress, did not lose a single seat and Nancy Pelosi became the first speaker of the House of Representatives.  

For the soldiers who served in Iraq, the Civil Servants like myself that served there, and anyone who had been watching Salaam’s chaos on the world over the decades, the unfiltered and untrue propaganda about Iraq from the Democrats was stunning. The truth on the ground was opposite of what the media was reporting as the US soldiers fought off the Iranian insurgency while Iraq was being restored.  The lies were so heavily pushed by the media, and went on so long, that even now Congressmen have trouble remembering the truth.

This deception the Democrats built around the war in Iraq denigrates the sacrifice and great work of our soldiers. It is an upside down history that has forced the Democrats now into their own foreign policy of mass destruction.

CBS was turning cartwheels interviewing Donald Trump on ”Face the Nation” February 14, 2016. They got the Republican front runner to tout the Democrat line that not only was George Bush wrong on Iraq, they tried to get Trump to say Bush lied on going into Iraq, and he came close. As the CBS left wing media encouraged him on, he crossed far over the line by blaming the Syrian refugee crisis and resulting European crisis on George Bush. The liberals are having a victory party.

Trump went beyond the boundaries of reality stating that because of Iraq, Europe is crashing under the refugee crisis. We all know Obama and Clinton are responsible for that. They only used “we don’t want to get into another Iraq” as an excuse.

Saddam Hussein killed over 100,000 of his own people with weapons of mass destruction, yes WMD, chemical and biological warfare. He, like Iran, wanted a Nuke to destroy Israel. He was a constant menace to the world, invading nations, Kuwait. The UN put sanction after sanction on them for 10 years, and like Iran, he wouldn't stop.

We had Iraq won, we had won hearts and minds and gave them a Democracy. The gospel was spread through the Middle East now that satellite dishes and technology and freedom of communications had come in. They voted for the first time in 30 years and had a free election. We kept Iran from taking over the nation. US State department spent millions with the IAEA destroying the WMD manufacturing sites in Iraq. I was there, I know.

Obama blew it. He pulled all our assets and intelligence out of Iraq, basically handing it to Iran, then did nothing to stop Assad's genocide in Syria that has caused the refugee crisis, and the creation of ISIS. Here is how.

The US military decimated Al Qaeda in Iraq. There were only a few hundred left. When Syria’s President Assad started genocide on the Sunni Muslims, killing over 200,000 and also using chemical warfare, as Saddam did, Obama took no action, did nothing. ISIS formed out of those ex-al Qaeda Iraq fighters because no one else would act and defend the Sunni civilians. This group of left-over Sunni Al-Qaeda in Iraq organized to go into Syria and fight Assad and try to save their Sunni brothers. If a coalition of nations had taken actions against Assad, as we did in Iraq, ISIS would not exists today.

Trump not only is touting the Democrat lies about Iraq, Trump also needs a history book. He does not know what he is taking about and is doing major damage.
